Israeli airstrike on Hamas office in Doha fails; Qatar responds
According to Al Jazeera, the Hamas leadership, headed by Khalil al-Hayyah, survived an Israeli airstrike in Doha.
According to Al-Arabi’s informed sources, the attack, which targeted the location where the Hamas political bureau meeting was being held, was an attempt to assassinate Hamas leaders.
The meeting was reviewing the latest proposal presented by former US President Donald Trump.
The Israeli army issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack, claiming that the army and the Shin Bet security service carried out a “precise attack” against the Hamas leadership using air power.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, calling it “criminal” and a “blatant violation of international law.”
The Qatari statement said: “We condemn the cowardly Israeli attack on the residential offices of members of the Hamas political bureau in Doha. This action poses a serious threat to the security of Qatari citizens and residents.”
