China holds massive military parade to mark 80th anniversary of victory in World War II
China held a grand military parade in Tiananmen Square on Wednesday (September 3) to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the end of World War II.
The ceremony, which was held under the supervision of Chinese President Xi Jinping, showcased the country’s growing military power and its commitment to world peace.
The parade featured 45 military battalions from China’s land, naval, air, and strategic nuclear forces, along with advanced weapons such as hypersonic missiles, stealth fighters, AJX002 unmanned submarines, and new drones.
Leaders including Vladimir Putin (Russia), North Korean Kim Jong-un, Masoud Pezizkian (Iran), Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus), and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia attended the ceremony, a sign of solidarity among sanctioned countries in the face of Western pressure, and no Western leader except Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico attended the parade.
