Al-Hashd al-Shaabi destroys 5 ISIS hideouts in Wadi Huran, Anbar, Iraq
Iraqi sources announced that on Tuesday during a preemptive security operation in the Wadi Horan region located in the west of Anbar Province, the Popular Mobilization Forces discovered and destroyed five hideouts of the ISIS terrorist group.
According to Al-Ma’ulouma, this operation was carried out based on accurate intelligence information, and the Popular Mobilization Forces succeeded in identifying and destroying these hideouts, which were used to hide ISIS elements and store weapons and food.
This action is part of the ongoing efforts of Iraqi security forces to eradicate ISIS remnants in the country’s desert and difficult-to-access areas.
Anbar Province is considered one of the main areas of activity for ISIS’s secret cells due to its vast desert and shared borders with Syria.
The Popular Mobilization Forces and other Iraqi security forces are continuously conducting operations to clear these areas of terrorist elements.
