Global Fleet of Endurance departs from Barcelona to break the siege of Gaza

The Global Fleet of Resistance, the largest non-governmental maritime convoy with the participation of activists from 44 countries, set off from the port of Barcelona in Spain towards the Gaza Strip on Sunday, August 30.

This fleet, consisting of about 70 ships, was launched with the aim of breaking the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza and delivering humanitarian aid to the people of the region.

According to Al Jazeera, the flotilla is operating with the participation of activists such as Greta Thunberg and Portuguese politician Mariana Murtega, and under the coordination of a coalition of groups: the Global Movement for Gaza Freedom Flotilla, the “Resistance Caravan” and the Malaysian Resistance Organization “Nusantara”.

“We know that Israel may take violent actions against us, but this relentless plan to stop the genocide and break the siege will continue,” Fleet Spokesperson Saif Abu Kashk told the media.

This is despite the fact that the Israeli regime had previously disrupted similar efforts, including the seizure of the ships “Madeleine” and “Hanzala” in international waters.
