A spy drone belonging to the Israeli army crashed due to a technical malfunction in the “Sand Neighborhood” area of Gaza City and fell into the hands of Palestinian citizens.
According to a report by the Israeli Radio and Television, the drone, which was a Sky Raider, landed in a residential area after its parachute opened and was taken as war booty by the people of Gaza.
Videos posted on social media show that Gazans have removed the drone from the crash site and taken it into their possession.
Some Palestinian sources have suggested that the resistance could access information stored in the drone’s memory and communication systems, which could reveal important details of the Israeli army’s operations and intelligence objectives.
The Israeli army has not provided any explanation for the details of the incident as of the time of publication of this news.
This incident occurs while the Israeli regime has been extensively using spy drones for reconnaissance operations and airstrikes in Gaza since the start of the war in October 2023.
