Seyyed Abbas Araqchi left for Dushanbe
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, left for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on Wednesday morning, July 30, for an official visit.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi is accompanied by Tajik Ambassador to Tehran Nizamuddin Zahedi on this trip.
According to the statement of Ismail Baghaei, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the purpose of this visit is to meet with high-ranking Tajik officials, including the country’s President Emomali Rahmon, and to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and regional and international developments.
During this trip, Araqchi is also expected to meet and discuss with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirajuddin Mehrdiddin and other senior officials of the country.
This visit comes at a time when relations between Iran and Tajikistan have witnessed the expansion of cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural fields in recent years.
