In a critical report, the Hebrew-language newspaper Ma’ariv described the situation of the Israeli army in the Gaza war as “being stuck in a quagmire” and wrote that the blood of Israeli soldiers has become worthless in a war without a clear goal.
The newspaper strongly criticized the government’s performance, citing the Israeli cabinet’s crossing of sacred red lines.
Ma’ariu also referred to recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who, in an interview with American media, absolved himself of responsibility for the failure of October 7, 2023, and placed all blame on the army and security institutions.
These statements have sparked a wave of criticism in the regime’s media and political circles.
