Israeli newspaper claims about ceasefire in Gaza

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth claims that US President Donald Trump is set to officially announce a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip next Monday.

This claim was made while some Arab media outlets reported that Hamas had officially agreed to a ceasefire with Israel.

According to reports, the proposed ceasefire includes a 60-day period of cessation of hostilities, which will be mediated by Qatar and Egypt.

Donald Trump had previously announced that Israel had agreed to the necessary conditions for finalizing the ceasefire and called on Hamas to accept the agreement.

He warned that if this offer is rejected, the situation for Hamas will worsen.

However, Hamas has stressed that any agreement must lead to a complete end to the war and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

So far, precise details of the terms of this possible agreement have not been published, and Israel has not officially confirmed the claim made by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
