Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that the new US administration has lifted sanctions related to the Pax-2 nuclear power plant project in Hungary and construction can now continue.
He noted that as a result of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the Democratic US administration in November 2024, the continued expansion of the Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary has become practically impossible.
