Israeli army orders evacuation of 17 areas in northern Gaza, and controversy over the “safe” area of Al-Mawasi

The Israeli army once again ordered the immediate evacuation of 17 areas in the northern Gaza Strip, including Jabalia and Gaza City.

According to Avichay Idris news sources, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman issued a warning, urging residents of these areas to immediately move towards the Al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza.

The Al-Mawasi area, located west of Khan Younis, had been declared a safe zone for civilians by the Israeli army since the beginning of the Gaza war.

However, this area has been repeatedly targeted by airstrikes and displaced people’s tents have been set on fire, resulting in the martyrdom of a large number of civilians.

These incidents have called into question the credibility of al-Mawasi as a safe haven and have sharply increased concerns about the safety of civilians, including women and children, in so-called “safe” areas.
