Najaf Seminary Statement: Threats against Ayatollah Khamenei are a sign of the White House’s moral decline
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
Following the threats that Trump made against the Supreme Leader in a message on the Truth Network, scholars from the Najaf Ashraf Seminary issued a statement condemning these threats.
The statement states that Donald Trump has made the most brazen direct threat to Ayatollah Khamenei, and that such an action is not only an attack on a political leader, but also a clear insult to a religious authority and a unifying figure in the Islamic world.
Continuing this statement, the students of the Najaf Seminary have warned the US government, stating that religious authority is a red line for us and any hand that attempts to violate it will be cut off.
Another part of the statement emphasizes that the Shiite authority is not a purely political figure, but rather a symbol of guidance, unity, and the awakened conscience of the Islamic nation in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain, Pakistan, and other lands of Islam.
We warn the US regime and its regional mercenaries that attacking the area of authority will ignite a fire that will not be able to be extinguished.
