Some Pakistani media outlets say that Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, yesterday ordered an operation against the display of weapons and the use of Hilux vehicles in the province.
According to reports, the newly established Crime Control Directorate (CCD), a special unit to combat crime in the state, will take action against those who create terror using weapons and Hilux vehicles.
It is said that the operation will use more than 21,000 cameras and artificial intelligence to monitor those displaying weapons.
