Pakistani media announced that in this unprecedented incident, dozens of prisoners with various crimes escaped from Malir Prison, located in the city of Karachi, the capital of Sindh province in southern Pakistan.
This number of escapees escaped by destroying the main wall of the Karachi jail, and at the same time, heavy gunfire was heard in the area.
At the same time, the Home Minister of Pakistan’s Sindh province denied any destruction of the wall by prisoners, saying that the prisoners escaped through the main gate, however, a large number of them were re-identified and arrested.
He said that the operation to recapture escaped prisoners is ongoing.
