Britain looking to buy American fighter jets
According to RIA Novosti, British Defense Secretary John Haley and British Chief of Staff Tony Rae Dawkin plan to purchase American-made fighter jets capable of dropping unguided bombs that are less powerful than conventional nuclear bombs.
The newspaper also wrote that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer supported the program and that London had held talks with the Pentagon about it.
Informed sources have also said that Britain is considering purchasing the F-35A stealth fighter jets manufactured by Lockheed Martin, but other types of this fighter are also under discussion.
