ISIS claims responsibility for first attack on al-Julani regime
In the first sign of the return of the threat of ISIS against Syria after the fall of Bashar al-Assad, the group claimed responsibility for the bombing against the new Syrian army in Suwayda province.
It is worth noting that one person was killed and three other soldiers from the 70th Division of the New Syrian Army were injured in the explosion that occurred on Wednesday.
Although ISIS attacks have been rare in areas controlled by the new Syrian government that took power after the fall of Bashar al-Assad last year, the group has continued to carry out operations against Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria.
In this regard, Syrian authorities announced this week that they had arrested members of an ISIS-affiliated cell near Damascus.
