The American newspaper New York Times wrote in an analytical article published on Thursday 20th of February that Donald Trump may not withdraw from NATO, but he is weakening it.
The author of the article, David A. Sanger, added that during his first term of office, Trump alternately threatened to withdraw from NATO and withdrew the United States from the role of the main pillar of this military pact.
He pointed out that Trump, in his second term, is trying to empty NATO from the inside in a different way.
