The office of transfer and settlement of Afghan immigrants in America will be closed

The White House and the US State Department have ordered the closure of the office that was responsible for overseeing the resettlement of Afghans.

According to Reuters, this office must prepare and present its closure plan by April.

The report also adds that if this office is closed, the files of nearly 200,000 people who have been waiting to enter America for the past three years will be rejected.

Among these people there are those who were supposed to be reunited with their families in the United States.

The White House and the US State Department have not commented on this so far.
