Osama Abdelhai, the head of the Egyptian doctors’ union, announced that this union is preparing to send a second medical team consisting of 16 doctors with different specialties to the Gaza Strip based on the needs of the sector.
In a televised statement to the Egyptian media, Abdul Hai explained that the medical team will include the specialties of orthopedic surgery, anesthesia and special care, as requested by the Palestinian side, and this team will be the second team from Egypt to enter this department after sending the previous team consisting of 9 doctors currently in Gaza.
Pointing out that after preparing a list of 2,000 doctors who confirmed their readiness to enter Gaza and provide medical services to the wounded and sick, this union is preparing the third group of doctors.
