The Russian Embassy in Tehran confirmed the addition of the Russian Sukhoi F35 to the Iranian Air Force
Despite having a strong missile and drone force, Iran has been using F14 Tomcat military aircraft for decades to meet its air needs.
While these fighters have been replaced by newer, next-generation aircraft in America, they are still used in Iran.
Tomcats were a byproduct of the US Navy’s Experimental Tactical Fighter program in the 1950s.
Earlier, Ali Shadmani, the deputy coordinator of the central headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps in Khatam Anbia, announced the purchase of Sukhoi F35 fighter jets.
However, the Instagram page of the Russian Embassy in Iran confirms the addition of Russian Sukhoi F34 fighters to the Iranian Air Force by publishing this post.
It should be noted that the purchase of these fighters will be done after signing the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement” with Russia.
