Pentagon spokesman General Pat Ryder announced the dispatch of several B-52 bombers and fighters and destroyers to the region.
He said that these equipments were sent to the region by the order of Lloyd Austin, the US Secretary of Defense, in order to maintain the security of American citizens and forces in the Middle East and to support Israel.
The shipment of these equipments will be done in the coming months and at the same time as the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln prepares to leave the region.
The Pentagon has not mentioned the number and specifications of the equipment that will be sent to the area, as well as the exact time of the departure of the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln.
