Teboun became the president of Algeria for the second time
More than 24 million Algerian citizens with the right to vote went to the polls this Saturday to elect the 11th president of their country for a 5-year term.
In the Algerian presidential election, the current president, Abd al-Majid Taboun, as an independent candidate, Hassani Sharif Abd al-Ali from the (Islamic) Peace Society Movement) and Osheesh Youssef from the Socialist Forces Front Party (leftist) competed against each other.
