Far-right Alternative party wins historic victory in Germany’s regional elections in Thuringia
The party, which is classified as a right-wing and extremist party by Germany’s constitutional watchdog, has won a state election for the first time in the country’s post-war history.
Alternative for Germany in Thuringia won an unprecedented victory in the regional elections of this state by winning more than 32% of the votes, and after the European elections, it confirmed its power in this country.
The Christian Democratic Union conservative party, which is known as the Union Party in Germany, won the second place in the state of Thuringia by winning about 24% of the votes.
Meanwhile, the victory of “Alternative for Germany” in this state has been determined that considering the refusal of other parties from any coalition with the extreme right, it seems very unlikely that this party will take over the power of the local government
