Mottaki urges Islamic countries to work for Afghanistan’s assets

The acting foreign minister said at a meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in Cameroon that the freezing of Afghanistan Bank funds has slowed economic growth and reduced regional trade.

Mottaki also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states to enter into economic and trade partnerships with Afghanistan within the framework of legitimate common interests.

He stressed that Afghanistan, with its position Strategic, vast natural resources, cheap and laborious manpower, and also security is a unique opportunity for regional connectivity and investment.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that from the soil Afghanistan will not be used against any country and this has been proven in the past three years and countries should enter into positive interaction with the Islamic Emirate.

 

In his speech, Mr. Mottaki also called for a solution the issue of Palestine has become urgent, just and permanent, and he warned that if we, the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, do not resolve this issue, neither God will forgive us nor the people.”
