Qatar overtook the United States to become the top exporter of liquefied natural gas in January.
This month, Qatar exported 7.14 million tons of liquefied natural gas with an increase of 11% compared to the previous month.
America also ranked second among the largest exporters of liquefied natural gas with exports of 6.76 million tons and a decrease of 4%.
From January to July this year, the United States ranks first in the volume of liquefied natural gas exports and exported 49.61 million tons of liquefied natural gas.
But during this period of time, Qatar ranked third with the largest amount of exports with the export of 46.9 million tons.
Qatar accounts for about 77% of Arab countries’ gas exports and is the largest gas exporter among Arab countries.
