With this victory, the country’s national team managed to get the fifth place in the under-20 competition of Central Asia.
The game between both teams went to penalty kicks, and Afghanistan won the game with the result of 9-8.
Faisal Seyed Khel, the goalkeeper and captain of the country’s under-20 football team, saved two penalty kicks from the players of Turkmenistan.
He was still chosen as the best player on the field by CAF.
