According to new statistics published by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the number of deaths among children under the age of five reached its lowest level in 2022.
UNICEF estimates that fewer than five million children have died, which represents a fifty-one percent decrease since 2000.
This United Nations agency said that the improvement in child mortality in developing countries such as Malawi, Rwanda and Mongolia is significant.
This statistic has been published by the United Nations Children’s Protection Organization, while dozens of children are dying every day due to hunger, war and famine in the Gaza Strip.
