The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that its forces, using attack drones, targeted and destroyed two ships escorting a Ukrainian arms convoy in the Black Sea.
According to the ministry’s statement, the attack took place on the evening of August 13 southwest of Mykolaiv and targeted two ocean-going ships that Moscow said were escorting cargo ships carrying Western weapons for the Ukrainian armed forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry has said that attacks against Ukrainian port facilities and ships serving the country’s armed forces will continue.
Moscow had previously announced that it considered Western arms shipments to Ukraine to be legitimate military targets.
