Reuters reported that North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the waters off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula on Wednesday.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the missile was fired at around 6 a.m. local time from the Wonsan area on North Korea’s east coast.
This missile test took place a few days before joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea, which North Korea has consistently opposed.
North Korea launched another ballistic missile from the same area six days ago.
