Politico: Ansarullah threat could become Trump’s electoral challenge

Politico reported that Yemen’s Ansar Allah threat to retaliate against Saudi energy facilities, especially the Abqaiq refinery, may face a new shock to the global energy market and increase gasoline prices in the United States.

According to this publication, the increase in fuel prices on the eve of the US Congressional midterm elections could become one of the most important political challenges for Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

Politico added that the Abqaiq refinery processes about seven percent of the world’s crude oil, and any disruption to its operations would have widespread consequences for the global oil market.
