Following the heavy explosions in southern Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz claimed in a joint statement that they had destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel near the “Shaqif” fortress.
The statement claimed that the attack was carried out in response to Hezbollah’s drone attack on a bulldozer in southern Lebanon a few days ago.
Hebrew sources have also reported that a large amount of explosives were used to destroy this tunnel, and the intensity of the explosion was such that a large amount of dust covered the surrounding areas and villages.
