Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, announced in a message to the Iranian nation that the memorandum of understanding between the presidents of Iran and the United States was signed after extensive efforts by officials and taking into account the national interests of this country.
He said that he originally had a different view on this issue, but due to the commitment of the president and members of the country’s Supreme National Security Council to protecting the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front, he has granted permission to proceed with this process.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that Iranian officials have guaranteed that they will resist any excesses by the American side and have accepted responsibility for this issue.
The Iranian leader added that the Iranian nation and officials are now waiting for the implementation of the commitments and conditions put forward, and future negotiations will not mean accepting the demands of the opposing enemy.
He expressed hope that this process will be accompanied by the preservation of the dignity and rights of the Iranian people, paving the way for further successes for this country.
