Axios reporter Barack Ravid has quoted an American official as claiming that a third wave of US airstrikes against targets in Iran has begun.
At the same time, some Israeli sources have reported, citing a US government official, that new attacks are underway on several points in southern Iran.
These claims come at a time when American officials had previously announced several strikes in response to the downing of their Apache helicopter.
In contrast, a senior White House official claimed in an interview with the Politico website that there has been no change in the current situation and that Washington remains committed to the diplomatic path with Iran.
So far, Iranian officials have not issued an official response to the claims regarding the second and third waves of US attacks.
