India, Vietnam sign deal for BrahMos hypersonic missiles

Reports indicate that India and Vietnam have signed a cooperation agreement to supply supersonic BrahMos cruise missiles, while New Delhi’s negotiations with Indonesia for the sale of these missiles have also reached the final stages.

With a speed of more than Mach 3, equivalent to about 3,700 kilometers per hour, the BrahMos missile is considered one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world, and due to its high speed and low-altitude flight, it is considered very difficult for defense systems to intercept.

This missile is capable of being fired from warships, Su-30 fighter jets, and mobile land-based launchers, and is designed to attack naval and land targets.

The Brahmos was jointly developed by India and Russia and is considered one of the most advanced supersonic cruise missiles in the world.
