Pakistan welcomes local ceasefire agreements along the alleged Durand Line

Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi said Islamabad welcomed the two agreements reached between Pakistani and Afghan tribal elders.

According to him, these agreements were reached between the elders of Bajaur and Kunar regions, as well as Chitral and Nuristan, regarding a ceasefire and the reopening of roads along the hypothetical Durand Line.

Previously, residents on both sides of the Durand Line in Nuristan and Kunar had agreed to a ceasefire after holding local jirgas.
