Chinese President Xi Jinping stated during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Yakun that China and Russia should resolutely defend the legitimate interests of both countries through closer and more effective strategic cooperation.
Xi Jinping said that the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between the two countries remain at a high level of development, and cooperation in all fields has yielded fruitful results.
He emphasized the need for the two countries to maintain the unity of the global south and fulfill their responsibilities as great powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council.
