In an interview with the Times of Israel newspaper, US President Donald Trump stated regarding the election of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, “We’ll have to see what happens.”
He emphasized that America is at war because Iran was destroying Israel, and now is the right time to end the war.
Trump added that the decision on when to end the war with Iran will be made jointly and after consultation with Benjamin Netanyahu, and that all factors will be taken into account in this decision.
These statements come as the war between Iran and the US-Israeli coalition has entered new stages and the election of Iran’s new leader has sent a clear message of Tehran’s continued resistance and steadfastness.
