The Axios website reported, citing four informed American and Israeli sources, that Washington and Tel Aviv are in talks to send special forces to Iran with the aim of physically seizing the country’s enriched uranium reserves.
According to this report, in order to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the United States and the Israeli regime are considering the option of sending special forces into Iran’s deep underground nuclear facilities to physically remove about 450 kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium from Iran.
Axios emphasized that carrying out such an operation would require the deployment of American or Israeli forces on Iranian soil so that they could penetrate fortified and mountainous sites. This scenario has been raised as one of the possible options among officials on both sides.
Informed sources told Axios that Iran’s nuclear facilities are located deep underground and heavily guarded, making this operation extremely complex, risky, and likely to fail.
