Indonesia prepares 8,000 troops for deployment to Gaza Stabilization Force (ISF)
The Indonesian military announced that it is preparing a force of 8,000 soldiers to participate in the International Stabilization Force (ISF).
Maruli Simanjuntak, the head of the Indonesian Armed Forces, emphasized that plans regarding the exact number of troops, when they will be deployed, and their operational details are still in the experimental and review stages.
This Indonesian action comes within the framework of international efforts to establish stability and security in the Gaza Strip after recent clashes.
As one of the largest Muslim countries in the world, Indonesia has a long history of participating in United Nations peacekeeping missions, and this readiness can be part of the country’s diplomatic and humanitarian efforts in support of the Palestinian people.
