Massive protests in more than 65 US cities against military operations in Venezuela

Following the US military operation in Venezuela and the arrest of Nicolas Maduro, thousands of people took to the streets in more than 65 US cities to protest against what they called Trump’s bullying and war-mongering with taxpayer money.

In Washington, D.C., demonstrators gathered in front of the White House and chanted, “Not a penny, not a dollar, we will not pay for war and slaughter.”

Protesters called the recent US operation a violation of Venezuelan sovereignty and a waste of American citizens’ tax resources for military adventurism.

The demonstrations were also held in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Boston, and participants called for an end to military intervention and a focus on domestic American issues.

These protests are considered the largest wave of domestic discontent against the Trump administration’s foreign policy since the start of operations in Venezuela
