US President Donald Trump, in recent statements, emphasized the importance of direct and robust dialogue between Israel and Syria, describing it as a historic opportunity for stability and prosperity in the Middle East.
Trump, who recently addressed the issue in a post on the social network X, stated: “It is very important that Israel has a strong and real dialogue with Syria and that nothing happens that prevents Syria from becoming a prosperous country.”
He also praised the efforts of the interim Syrian president to establish stable and economic relations with Israel, adding: “President Al-Jolani is working diligently to ensure that good things happen and that Syria and Israel have a long and prosperous relationship.”
Trump considered this initiative a step forward on the path to regional peace and emphasized: “This is a historic opportunity and adds to the success that has been achieved so far for peace in the Middle East.”
Analysts believe such talks could ease long-standing tensions and help rebuild Syria’s economy.
