The third round of the Asian Youth Games opened in Bahrain with the presence of an Afghan convoy

The third round of the Asian Youth Games opened last night, Wednesday, with the presence of an Afghan sports convoy in Bahrain.

The opening ceremony of this prestigious Asian event was held by Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.

The country’s athletes are participating in these games in the disciplines of taekwondo, boxing, jujitsu, wushu, futsal, wrestling, freestyle wrestling, and muay thai.

According to reports, more than 50 Afghan athletes are competing against their opponents in more than eight sports.

In the recent success of Yahya Mohammadi and Ruhollah Nazari, two athletes from the Kourosh discipline, they won two historic bronze medals for the country by defeating their opponents in the 65 and 83 kg weight categories.

Also, the Afghan national under-17 futsal team will face Uzbekistan in its first match tomorrow, Friday, November 2nd.
