Qatari Foreign Minister: Collective commitment essential for Afghanistan’s stability

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khelaifi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, emphasized the vital importance of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Afghanistan at the first ministerial meeting.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

In his speech, Al-Khelaifi stated that the humanitarian, economic, and political situation in Afghanistan requires the collective commitment of the international community to stability and support for the people of this country.

He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to resolve the challenges in Afghanistan.
