Pakistan’s only obstacle to relations with Afghanistan is terrorism
Ali Khan said on Saturday that Islamabad wants brotherly relations with Afghanistan but the issue of terrorism is the main obstacle to bilateral relations.
He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate must choose between Pakistan and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and this message has been conveyed to Kabul through diplomatic channels.
Ali Khan also responded to US President Donald Trump’s statements about the retaking of Bagram Air Base, saying that this issue is related to relations between Afghanistan and the United States and that Pakistan has no involvement in it.
The Islamic Emirate has not yet responded to these statements, but it has repeatedly stated that Afghan soil will not be used against any country and that terrorist groups are not present in the country.
This comes as tensions continue between Islamabad and Kabul over TTP activities in the border areas.
