Trump :Afghanistan and four other countries have failed to fight drugs
US President Donald Trump has said Afghanistan, Colombia, Myanmar, Bolivia and Venezuela have clearly failed to fight drugs in the past year.
He added that from Washington’s perspective, these countries have not adhered to their international commitments in the fight against drugs in the last twelve months.
The decision could affect U.S. funding and aid to these countries, adding them to the list of countries that have significantly failed to implement anti-drug agreements.
In contrast, the Islamic Emirate has repeatedly emphasized that drug cultivation in the country has been reduced by 95 percent and that serious efforts have been made to eradicate it.
Trump’s claim comes at a time when the US special representative for prisoner affairs visited Kabul yesterday.
