Palestinian journalist and his son killed in Israeli artillery attack on Gaza
In continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes against civilians and media personnel in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian journalist Islam al-Kumi and his son were martyred in an artillery attack by the occupying army on the al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
This attack, which occurred on Tuesday (August 19), once again demonstrated the deliberate targeting of journalists by the Israeli regime forces.
According to reports, more than 238 journalists have been martyred in similar attacks since the regime’s aggression against Gaza began on October 7, 2023.
The Palestinian government media office in Gaza condemned the crime, describing it as part of the Israeli regime’s efforts to silence the media and hide its crimes in Gaza.
Local sources have reported that these attacks are systematically targeting residential areas and humanitarian aid distribution centers, which has led to an escalation of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
