Ukraine offers to buy $100 billion in weapons to the US to ensure peace

According to the Financial Times, during a meeting hosted by the United States at the White House, Ukraine has submitted a proposal to purchase $100 billion in weapons from this country and conclude a $50 billion contract to produce drones with American companies.

The proposal comes as part of Kiev’s efforts to obtain security guarantees from Washington following a potential peace deal with Russia.

At the meeting, Ukraine pledged to purchase $100 billion in weapons from the United States after peace is achieved, while financing for this purchase will be provided by European countries.

In addition, Kiev has proposed a $50 billion contract to jointly produce drones with Ukrainian and American companies, which would utilize advanced Ukrainian drone technologies developed since Russia’s massive invasion in 2022.

These proposals came as recent talks between Trump, Zelensky, and European leaders were held at the White House.
