Al Sudani : More than 4 million foreign pilgrims participated in the Arbaeen ceremony of Husseini 1447
Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced that the Arbaeen ceremony of Imam Hussein 1447 AH (2025) was held in Karbala, Mu’alla, with the presence of more than 4 million foreign pilgrims from 140 countries.
According to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, this number included about 4 million 100 thousand foreign pilgrims, and the ceremony ended without any security breaches.
This huge gathering, considered one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, hosted an estimated 22 to 23 million pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, while appreciating the security forces and the successful planning to ensure security and provide facilities to pilgrims, considered the event a symbol of unity and coordination in managing the ceremony.
