Suicides increase among Israeli soldiers. Artes: 43 soldiers committed suicide in 20 months of war

In its report today (Tuesday, July 15), Haaretz newspaper reported the suicide of the third Israeli soldier last week, announcing that since the start of the Gaza War on October( 7, 2023 )43 Israeli soldiers have committed suicide due to psychological stress caused by the war.

According to Haaretz’s analysis of data, most of these soldiers were exposed to severe war events and suffered from psychological and emotional problems.

The report adds that from October 2023 to the end of the same year, 7 soldiers committed suicide, 21 in 2024, and 15 more since the beginning of this year, indicating a significant increase in this phenomenon compared to the years before the war.
