Mohsen Rezaei: Iran must be prepared to respond decisively to any Israeli move
Mohsen Rezaei, former secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council and former senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, warned in statements that Israel may soon attack one of the countries of Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, or Iran.
Referring to two possible scenarios, namely an Israeli attack on the countries of the Resistance Axis or a renewed direct attack on Iran, he emphasized that the Iranian armed forces must be on full alert.
Rezaei stated: “Our hand must be on the trigger and after the Zionists’ first move, we must hit them harder than before.”
These remarks come at a time when tensions in the region remain fragile following the temporary ceasefire between Iran and Israel on June 24, 2025.
He called for a decisive and stronger response than Iran’s previous actions in the event of any military action by Israel.
These statements come amid reports of the strengthening of Iran’s air defense systems with the receipt of the Chinese HQ-9 system, as well as recent clashes in Erbil, Iraq.
