US President Donald Trump claimed at a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House last night that Iran’s nuclear program has been completely destroyed.
Referring to the recent attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, he stated that the International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed the destruction of one of the targeted sites.
Trump added: “Iran’s nuclear program has been wiped out and I hope we don’t have to launch another attack on Iran.”
He also claimed that American pilots had been training for such an operation for 20 years, but no president before him had authorized the attack.
The US President, stating that the attack on Iran’s nuclear sites was the end of the matter, stated that this action would restore peace to the Middle East.
He added: “Now they respect us and want to negotiate with us.”
According to some sources, these statements were made during Trump’s recent meeting with Netanyahu at the White House.
